Dragon’s Journey is a 3D platforming exploration game where the player is Ruby, a little red dragon who is teleporting around the magical land in order to gather all the brightly colored gems scattered around the world. The player must make him jump to get to gems that are too high or to avoid falling into water and other dangers. As the game progresses, Ruby faces more difficult challenges that require more precise timing for jumps.

The goals of this project were to create a magical aesthetic by bringing together many different components including the player character, environments, lighting, particle effects, and background music. I also wanted to make an engaging and captivating magical experience for the player through levels that are distinct but also make up a cohesive whole which flows well together.

All art assets are from the Unity Asset Store (see credits page for details).
